International Webinar on Moringa – A Super Food – Boon to Mankind
Internationally foods have serious competition today and here comes an Indian food The Moringa (Moringa oleifera), provides a very Nutritious Superfood from the leaves, which has been a part of traditional diet in India for ages.
Originated from India, the drumstick tree (Moringa) is often referred to us, as a Miracle Tree due to the sheer amount of nutrients it possess. Every part of this tree is a Nutritional Powerhouse in itself, yet it’s in the leaves that they are most concentrated; 90 nutrients are already known to date.
With the growing demand for Moringa production around the world, as food, animal feed and for its therapeutic value, Horticultural College and Research Institute, Periyakulam, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), India, is organizing a three day International Webinar on Moringa – A Super Food – Boon to Mankind, TNAU being the pioneer in Moringa research, released PKM 1 and PKM 2 varieties during the year 1989 and 2000 respectively, to update and review the research achievements around the world and showcase the advanced production technologies and varieties of TNAU to reach the international arena. As Moringa has been understood to possess not only multinutrients to alleviate malnutrition, it has also been found to have therapeutic properties. In this COVID-19 pandemic situation, it becomes important to emphasize on Moringa and its role in enhancing immunity and health benefits to the mankind. This webinar aims to create awareness about The Natural Immunity Booster – The Moringa.
